Nazy’s Guest House is an enchanting family home and guest house just over 2 hours drive from Tbilisi. It is located in the heart of the beautiful Pankisi Valley in the mountainous region of north-eastern Georgia. This is home to the hospitable Kist community.

On the 17th December 2018 Nazy’s Guest House won ‘The Best Community Based Tourism Award’ in Georgia. It was presented to Nazy Dakishvili and her sister Jana Dakishvili by ‘Welcome to Georgia! National Tourism Award’ at the Rustaveli Theatre in Tbilisi.
This prestigious award recognizes the achievements of Nazy’s Guest House as a traditional family-run business, which brings sustainable tourism to the Pankisi Valley community and region, providing tourists an authentic experience of local traditions, offering traditional accommodation, quality food, cultural tours and trekking services.
Your host family are Kists. They are descendents of Highland Chechens and have lived in Jokolo for five generations. They are widely respected and guests will find themselves intelligently cared for during their stay.
Guests are kindly requested to respect the family’s house rules. No alcohol or smoking is permitted. We aim to promote a healthy, safe and friendly environment for all our guests and family members. We are unable to accommodate pets.
Nazy’s Guest House is a traditional rural home and subsistence farm situated next to the Alazani River in the tranquil village of Jokolo. It is surrounded by dense foothills and overlooked by High Caucasus mountains. The air is clean and the water is refreshing. This is a perfect place to relax or explore the beautiful natural scenery around Pankisi Valley and nearby High Caucasus mountains of Tusheti and Khevsureti.
The Pankisi Valley is a new travel destination in Georgia visited by people from all over the world. It is easily reached by car, taxi or minibus. The lush valley is about 10 kilometers long and 3 kilometers at its widest point and flows into the wine growing Alazani valley. The Alazani River starts its southerly journey from the main ridge of the High Caucasus mountains through Tusheti and flows past our house. This is an area of immense beauty, unspoiled and rarely visited.
The Dakishvilis extensively renovated their two story house between 2012-13. It offers 4 guest bedrooms accommodating total of 13 guests. The bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated, clean and comfortable. Home-grown organic produce is used to make delicious Kist and Georgian meals!
Guests can use the gallery, balcony and garden. Instant hot water for showers is available in a separate bathroom with modern facilities. Secure onsite parking is available for two cars. Vegetarians are catered for and English, Russian, Georgian and Chechen languages are spoken. Our guided tours are designed to offer unique cultural experiences and trekking opportunities, serving different interests and abilities. You can explore and have lots of fun on foot, horse or mountain bike.
